Please note the extra road closures tomorrow! There is A LOT going on in Edwardsville!
GETTING AROUND: It will be a fun, busy Saturday (June 13) around downtown Edwardsville on this terrific Route 66 weekend! We've got some key information if you'll be attending any of these events:
✅ Due to the Edwardsville Route 66 Festival in City Park, 101 S. Buchanan, The Land of Goshen Community Market is shifting its location about a block north -- onto the Cassens parking lot on North Kansas across from the Edwardsville branch of the U.S. Postal Service. Same hours -- 8 a.m. to noon -- and same great vendors and items!
✅ Also at 8 a.m., the Metro Milers Route 66 10k will get underway, starting and ending at City Park. Please be alert for the runners as they make their trek throughout Edwardsville. (Awards ceremony at 10 a.m.)
✅ The Edwardsville Route 66 Festival officially gets underway at 10 a.m. in City Park and runs though 11:30 p.m. Find all of the amazing details on the website -- www.edwardsvilleroute66.com -- or page!
ROAD CLOSURES: Early Saturday, the closures will be similar to those that have been in place for the Goshen Market in City Park:
⚠️ South Kansas between East Vandalia and East Park Street
⚠️ East Park between South Main Street and South Buchanan
⚠️ Please be aware that the classic car show has shifted its location from North Kansas Street to the parking lot adjacent to City Park, making it easier for visitors to move between the festival and the show.
PARKING: There's parking available in the lots between North Main Street and North Kansas Street, and in the lot behind the Public Works building on East Park Street. There's street parking throughout the area, too.
WEATHER AWARENESS: Please know that our Edwardsville Parks & Recreation team will be closely monitoring the weather in the case of inclement weather. Should any schedule changes be necessary, we'll be sure to post on the Parks & Rec and City social media accounts.
