A perfect Sunday spent with family at the Saint Louis Art Museum.

We started with a delicious brunch at Panorama, the museum’s beautiful restaurant overlooking Forest Park, before exploring Splendor and Ruin: Art in the Age of Trajan. From remarkable sculptures and portraits to artifacts that have endured for nearly 2,000 years, the exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse into the height of the Roman Empire.

Days like these are a wonderful reminder that art, history, good food, and family make for the perfect combination. Also be on the look out for the immersive smell boxes throughout the exhibit to really orient you about the art.

Need a tropical escape without leaving St. Louis? 🌴🍹

Yellowbelly brings all the island vibes, from the lush atmosphere to some of the most fun breakfast cocktails in town.

Holly went with the Full Breakfast, a beautifully elevated take on the classic American breakfast with eggs, fruit, potatoes, a biscuit, and pork belly as her choice of meat. Meanwhile, I switched things up with the steak and cheddar burrito this visit, though I’m usually loyal to their steak and eggs.

Whether you’re there for brunch, cocktails, or just a little mental vacation, Yellowbelly always delivers the perfect tropical getaway right in the middle of St. Louis.

Hidden in plain sight 🍣🥢

Nomikai inside the Venetian is giving speakeasy energy right off the casino floor — the sushi counter seating is nice but the hidden dining room tucked behind the door was a surprisingly calm vibe for being as close to the slot machines as it is. Plus they have a takeout window if you’re on the go, or staying upstairs.

The standouts? The sushi pizza and the melt-in-your-mouth A5 Wagyu nigiri 🤌🔥

POV: your museum membership is paying for itself 😍🎟️
The Art Institute of Chicago was incredible—seeing Nighthawks, American Gothic, and Warhol’s Liz Taylor in person (!!), plus exploring their massive collection and the beautiful Matisse special exhibition on his late cut-paper works.

Also, unsolicited tip: if you have reciprocal museum membership, check your benefits before you travel. We’re members of the Saint Louis Art Museum, and our membership got us free admission here. This year alone, we’ve saved more than the full cost of membership just by visiting partner museums we already wanted to see anyway. Love a good culture + savings combo 💁‍♀️🎨

POV: you come to Vancouver for dinner and leave dreaming about duck 🦆✨

At Iden, every table seems to order the famous Peking duck—and for good reason. The tableside carving on its own special cart is pure dinner theater, but that first bite of crispy skin dipped in brown sugar? Unreal. 🤍

We also had the blueberry sweet-and-sour pork (served with an actual cloud ☁️ because apparently subtlety is overrated), seafood noodles, and cocktails to round it all out.

A Michelin-starred experience that absolutely lives up to the hype.
