Hi Guys!
I know this page has been quiet for a few months. Now that my official orders are complete, I’ll let you all know that I’m taking a break from baking. I started a full-time job at the beginning of June (btw if you know of any businesses, municipalities, parking lots/garages, etc that need EV charging stations then let me know!). I thought that I would be able to do both but June and July showed me that wouldn’t be possible. Working 90+ hour weeks, not sleeping for 2-3 days straight and constantly running 45 minutes late for deliveries is not the level of service that I strive to give to my customers.
For now, I have to take a step back and focus on my career. No, baking is not my actual career objective; It was just a happy tangent. So, I am not accepting future orders at this time, there will be no special menus and absolutely no holiday orders. My plan is to still take a few orders, here and there, at some point in time. You guys have been so good to me all these years and it’s hard to turn you down.
I’m going to be honest with you though….I’m tired. My hands and feet hurt all the time. They cramp, there’s stabbing pains, and spasms. I haven’t enjoyed a holiday season in 7 years. I’m finally going to watch Christmas movies in December instead of March and I’m so excited! I’ve missed important events in my family’s and friend’s lives. I haven’t taken a real vacation in I don’t know how long. And, I have real health benefits…vision and dental. I didn’t have any orders this weekend and all week, I felt a weight lifted from me.
Building this business has been the hardest yet most rewarding venture I’ve taken. I’m most proud of the bonds that I’ve created with each of you. Earning a person’s trust and loyalty isn’t a small feat as a business. I’m still blown away with the overwhelming response I’ve received over the years. I’ve never wanted to let any of you down. If I didn’t give each of you 120% then I disappointed myself. I can’t even give 80% now and that’s not fair to you. I remember during Covid putting out a call for flour, so many of you looked in stores, volunteered your supplies or ordered some for me. Who else can say that about their customers?? You guys have been and will always be simply the best, better than all the rest. You deserve the best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.
This isn’t a goodbye; it’s a see ya later, gator. This page will still be open. When I start taking orders again, I’ll be sure to post.
