Sunday night unwind 💭

The bakery has been keeping me busy lately, and I am incredibly grateful for every order, share, recommendation, and kind word.

Summer break is here, which means I’m balancing running a small business, being a wife and mom to my kiddos. All while trying to soak up the extra giggles and random fun play days.

Weekends are filling up quickly with custom orders and events. And I’ve been considering starting a monthly “Carb Club” 🤣 the best name I could think of. I’ll be back to offering specials such as sourdough, focaccia, cookie boxes, fried pies and more!

These would likely be available for midweek pickup since weekends tend to stay pretty busy.

While loading up the car this weekend for a wedding. Chase said to me, “I would’ve never thought you’d be doing wedding cakes”. And it’s funny because that was my exact thought too.

When I first started my home bakery, I had no idea where the journey would lead. What began as a simple passion and hope for extra income for my family has grown into something I am incredibly proud of today.

In the beginning, there were plenty of doubts, mistakes, and moments where I questioned whether I was good enough. Every order taught me something new. Every customer who trusted me with their special moments gave me a little more confidence to keep going.

Seeing my work become part of people’s memories has been one of the greatest rewards.

This journey has done more than grow my business. It has grown me. It has taught me patience, perseverance, creativity, and confidence. The confidence I once lacked has been built one cake, one cookie, and one order at a time.

So here’s to faith over fear with a cake as my shot gun rider. I am grateful. 🤍
