Effective immediately, Mrs. Krek’s Cakes will be closing for the foreseeable future. I have accepted a new position outside of my home. I want to thank my awesome loyal customers for allowing me to be a part of their celebrations throughout the years.

Caking really took a backseat to “mom-ing” in 2021. I managed to squeak out about a dozen orders, but this is how many photos I took. 👇🏻 🙄
In 2022 I’m planning to take one order a week through May, when I will once again go on hiatus while my kids are home. I have openings for the weekends of 1/21 and 1/28, so let’s talk soon!

Well ya’ll blew my phone up about Christmas cookies yesterday after I announced my reopening! 🎄🎅🏻❄️ So I guess I’d better hop to it. I’m going to work on a mock up next week. I’m not going to take preorders just yet, but I will open that up when I share the mock ups. So stay tuned! Until then, I’m thinking about a “Home for the Holidays” theme…let me know what you think! 👇🏻

I’m baaaaaaaaack! Hey, remember me? I used to decorate cakes? 👋🏻😉 After a (very) long hiatus, I am ready to start taking orders again! Availability will be VERY limited, as my kiddos are busier than ever. If you’ve got a special occasion coming up, let’s talk ASAP!
I dipped my toe in just last week and made this Pop-Its/Roller skating cake. The customer added a big fun skate topper after. Guess I still need to find a good photography location in the new house! 😬

I am moving to a new house soon! Don’t worry, I’ll be just a stone’s throw from my current address here in St. Charles. Upon move in we will be remodeling the kitchen, so I will be on hiatus indefinitely. I am not taking any new orders as I do not have a definite timeline of when my shiny new kitchen will be ready for baking. I will post when I am ready to fire up the ovens again! In the meantime, I’ll be sharing months worth of work that hasn’t been posted yet. Stay tuned! 🍰
