Well… we survived Burger Week. (Almost.)

My feet hurt.
The grill’s hot.
I’m pretty sure I’ve smelled like bacon jam since Tuesday.

Ricky the Rooster has been keeping watch over us all week at Chicken C**k 1856, and we’ve had a blast serving burgers alongside such an awesome team.

Well, this isn’t the first bakery mistake, but it won’t be the last.

Maybe early on in my career I would have been upset, I would have been in distress, furious even. Now? There’s is odd calm before me, yes we lost product, yes it sets me back a day, is it the worst, not by a long shot.

There is opportunity to teach and learn a lesson, time to clean an oven that needs it, and everything will work out and we’ll be better because of it.

Okay, well, rants over. Come get a burger tonight 5-9pm!

Hey look! I made a decent photo for once!

House cured bacon for Pork belly, cured 7 days, rinsed, slow cooked, chilled, diced up. Mustard, butter, delicious. Come grab this burger week, the 20-27th in Bardstown the burger is delicious, and I’ve probably spent too much time on it 🫠🫠🫠
