Happy Monday, especially to anybody reeling from an engagement or wedding this past weekend!

Wanna know a secret? Not only are these the first set of cookies that I made since the spring time, they’re also the first set of cookies I’ve made in our new house!😅

This sweet princess set for my now-5-year-old niece was just the thing I needed to get the creative ideas flowing again! I’m a sucker for all things gold-accented and textured, so this set had both.

There's been lots going on behind the scenes this summer! 🏡

My husband & I finally found our first home after 2 years of searching - find me now in FRIDLEY serving up custom sugar cookies!

For my Maple Grove clients, I am just always blown away by your generosity and support - please be sure to reach out if you're cool with driving the extra 15 minutes east! It has been such a privilege to serve you these past three years.

I'm looking forward to (& am a bit nervous about) establishing myself in Fridley, my childhood hometown. Please spread the word if you have friends in New Brighton, Shoreview, Moundsview, Blaine, etc. who are in need of a cookie artist! 🤠

That being said, I'm excited to announce that my BOOKS ARE BACK OPEN for September, October, and November! I will be out of town a few weekends here and there but am otherwise ready to begin accepting orders.

Thank you for allowing me to take as much time off as was needed - I had really been experiencing creative burnout and lack of quality time with my loved ones. Having the summer off certainly helped remedy the both of those!

And we're back!🤍

Thanks for sticking with me this past month, I know it's been crickets over here for quite a while. It's been refreshing to reflect on how Cookies by CJ can continue evolving into a sustainable business outside of my 9-5, and what that time commitment realistically looks like each week.

There's been a lot of over-extending myself the past year so know that I'm grateful for your continued interest despite my social media absence.

Outside of C by CJ I am heavily involved at my parish, enjoy spending time with my family, and generally look forward to having down-time after logging off for the day (as do most people!).

But this healthy work-life balance ultimately leaves very few evenings to commit to cookie-creating. I'm still a bit uneasy when it comes to how much time I can dedicate to making cookies right now, but it's still such an honor and wonderful creative outlet to be able to serve you all in this way.

In order to be fairly compensated for the hours that go into creating edible art, a slight price increase has been noted on my FAQ page and inquiry form.

If you've already submitted an inquiry form and/or are currently booked, my old pricing will be honored! Any new inquiries from now on will have the new pricing implemented. Thanks for understanding!

We've slowly been getting back into the swing of things here at CbyCJ - these sweet baby shower cookies definitely helped me work out a creative block 🤍

I think 2022 will consist of a lot more trusting my gut when it comes to designing sets, rather than nit-picking every detail and comparing to Pinterest. God gave us certain gifts that we're called to cultivate, not stifle.
