SWEETPEAce of Cake Specialty Cakes designed and created by Maria Taphorn and Assistant Karen Taphorn (Mom) SWEETPEAce of Cake was established in January of 2011.

My dad had given me the nickname Sweetpea when I was little so I knew I wanted to incorporate that into the name of my cake "business". My best friend from Kindergarten actually came up with the name (Thanks, Kate!) I had asked for cake decorating supplies for Christmas 2010 because I have enjoyed watching shows like Cake Boss and thought how neat it would be to make cakes like they do. I decided

to just go ahead and try it... And it turned out I was pretty good at it! I have never taken a single class to learn to do what I do. I am very particular and I pay close attention to detail. If you buy a cake from me I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
