The bake drop may be over, but bakery life definitely doesn’t stop.

After our biggest bake week yet, I’m slowing things down a little and getting back to the basics, starting with feeding my sourdough starter.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes this week though. Abby and I have some serious cookie dough restocking to do… and one of those batches might have something to do with Halloween DIY Cookie Kits. Stay tuned for more info. 🎃👀

October’s bake drop is officially in the books and I have to share these numbers with you because this community deserves to know what you built together. 🧡

59 orders placed.
 191 items sold.
 20 brand new customers.
 40 faithful customers who keep showing up.
 $1,379 in sales - our highest single drop ever.
 $159.21 in tips.

That tip number. I want to talk about that for a second.

Every dollar you tip at Spreckels Bakery goes directly toward employing two teenagers in this community. Young people who show up every week, work hard and are learning what it means to be part of something that gives back. Your generosity is not just feeding your family. It is investing in theirs.

We actually didn’t sell out this week. But we did something I am even more proud of. We baked more than we ever have. We served more people than we ever have. And we did it without wasting a single item.

That is growth. That is community. That is Spreckels Bakery. 🙏🧡

This was one of those weeks. 🧡

I got to meet new customers face to face on this porch and hand bless one of them with the Giving Loaf. That moment right there. That is why I started Spreckels Bakery.

YOU showed up to porch pickup with paper bags to donate to .In.Monterey. Nobody asked twice. You just did it. Because that is who this community is.

The gorgeous fall porch that made everyone stop and stare this week? That was the incredible Jessica from and who personally designed and donated a stunning display of locally grown organic pumpkins and flowers.

Every customer received a card for a special discount on pumpkins at The Farm because local businesses taking care of each other is everything. 🎃🧡

This week Spreckels Bakery was not just a bakery. It was a Giving Loaf delivered with love. It was paper bags collected for neighbors in need. It was two local small businesses lifting each other up. It was a porch full of people choosing community over convenience.
