Welcome to Botanical Sweets & Treats, my name is Briana and I’m a passionate vegan who enjoys helping others discover how sweet life can be living a plant based life. My goal in creating this business is to change the stigma and perception around plant based eating. It is possible to enjoy life’s milestones from birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, everyday treats, and much more while being vegan.

Disappointed in some local plant based options in addition to the lack thereof entirely, I decided to do it myself, knowing how I wanted things to taste. My goal is to capture the hearts of many in the Fredericksburg area and hopefully beyond by launching this new venture. Thank you for visiting, come and discover how sweet life can be with us! Happy Epiphany of the Lord and King Cake season! 💛💜💚

Between now and Fat Tuesday AKA Mardi Gras, Botanical Sweets and Treats will be making king cakes muffins for $4/each. I’m also happy to make larger, traditional size cakes as well.

If you’re looking for a crowd pleaser for Mardi Gras celebration parties this will not disappoint!

Below is some history on king cake for those curious about this seasonal pastry. 🤓👑

The cake is shaped like a crown to symbolize the three kings or wise men who visited Christ after his birth. The colors are symbolic and represent faith (green), justice (purple), and power or prosperity (yellow or gold). Traditional cakes have a small baby inside which represents Christ at his birth.
Traditionally eaten from January 6 (the Epiphany of the Lord) though Fat Tuesday (the day before Lent begins). Originally this was part of the Catholic celebration of the Epiphany and was brought over from France in the 1800's to Louisiana, where it became part of their Mardi Gras festivities.
