Five members of our club attended the North American Convention of Friendship Force International in Milwaukee this week. We made new friends and connected with old ones. We got up to speed on what’s happening at the national and international level. We toured the city and saw the sights and even sampled the beer. A great week.

A whirlwind tour of our local area with Friendship Force Greater Harrisburg ambassadors. The hot weather couldn’t keep us home. We saw the sights, sampled the food and met some new friends. Friendship Force International.

Wrapping up a busy week hosting a group of Ukrainian youth. The cold weather slowed us down a little but they were still impressed by how active we “grannies” were. Thanks to community partners we learned a lot about our own city right along with kids.

We just wrapped up a week of hosting a great group of Ambassadors from Wellington, NZ, here in Spokane. From our western themed dinner, complete with line dancing lessons, to our Farewell Dinner, at which our guests serenaded us, it was a fun week. We took in the views from Mount Spokane and Silver Mountain and cruised on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Manito and Riverfront parks were on the agenda and were both as lovely as ever. Great guests, generous hosts and perfect weather!
