This week’s Lake + Bake menu is LIVE! 🖤

It’s a little bittersweet around here, my friend Kaysie is heading back to winter in Arizona. She has been such a huge help all summer, and many of you have seen her smiling face at Friday pickups. I’m so grateful for everything she has done for Lake + Bake, (and Okoboji Cleaning Co.)
I’m going to miss her so much!

That means I’m officially a one-woman show again, and with our Okoboji Magazine photo shoot coming up, I’m keeping this week’s menu a little more limited:

Cinnamon rolls are taking a little break from the menu while I work on tweaking them to be even better—and BIGGER! They’ll be back soon with NEW fall flavors!

🍂 Lake + Bake is on vacation this week! ⛳️

We’re heading to Wisconsin/Minnesota for a little fall golf getaway and taking the week off from baking.

No preorder drop this week — orders will resume next week! 🤎

🍂 SOUP WEATHER = BREAD WEATHER 🥖

The cooler days are creeping in, and nothing goes better with a warm bowl of soup than fresh-baked bread.

This week at Lake + Bake, I’m adding a classic French Bread Loaf — golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and perfect for dipping, garlic bread, pasta night… or just tearing into with a little butter. 🤍

First attempt at french bread/big baguettes and I’m pretty happy with how these guys turned out! 🥖

Still learning the shaping + scoring, but there’s just something so satisfying about trying something new and pulling these out of the oven.

Should we add baguettes to the Lake + Bake lineup sometime soon? 👀

Because I’m already imagining these with butter, dips… or turned into the BEST sandwiches. 😍

Summer here moves fast. Lake days, visitors, events, packed weekends and a million places your money could go — and somehow, you still chose to support Lake + Bake.

You ordered the bread, grabbed the bagels, brought cookies to the lake, added cinnamon rolls to your weekends, shared my posts and told your friends about me.

And I noticed every bit of it.

This summer helped Lake + Bake grow in ways I never expected, and I’m so grateful for every order, every share and every person who came back again.

What a summer. What a community. 🤍
