Thanks for giving us a week off! It was a much needed break for my family and I, so thank you for allowing me to take a breath!

This month we have some new fun flavors!

Cookie butter-coffee: if you’ve never had cookie butter or “speculoos” before, you are missing out! It’s a cookie that they make into a peanut-butter-like consistency, and it has teeny little chunks of crunchy cookie in it. We added coffee flavor to help tone down the sweetness. And then for a little extra crunch, we sprinkled Biscoff cookies on top! Delicious!!

Caramel apple: reduced apple c***r glaze, and a caramel drizzle on top!

Pumpkin cheesecake: whipped cheesecake filling with pumpkin, rolled in spiced sugar.

Sugar & Spice: a ring donut with sugar and fall spice.

Ally’s Eats will be CLOSED this week: September 29-October 3.

I’m so glad we are actually commanded by God to rest. I tend to appreciate that when I want to rest, and ignore it when I don’t feel rest is necessary. That’s just my personal confession.

As many of you know, owning a bakery is a particularly demanding job. I’m really feeling that after this week. And I’m also feeling my previous weeks of ignoring a proper amount of rest. I’ll spare you the details, but it has become apparent to me that the only way to really catch up at this particular moment in time, is to close shop. That’s a tough thing to do, and I recognize that it comes with risks and consequences. But I was very convicted as I debated this that I serve one Master: the Lord. And if he’s telling me to rest, I need to take it seriously. And I trust HE will deal with the outcome.

I am so grateful to every person who has patronized my business, and I am so glad to serve you all! Hopefully soon we will be staffed up quite well and I’ll be able to get enough rest without having to close my store. 🙏 Thank you all for understanding! See you in a week with the new October donut menu! 🫶🏻

Have you ever tried our Old Fashioned donuts?! They are top of the list for me! We have put serious time into making the balance of sour cream just right for the best flavor and texture experience. They are available with plain glaze or in bar style with maple glaze.

Also, if you are a fan of almond extract, the cherry fritter might be the perfect choice for you! Made with fluffy, pull-apart dough and filled with crushed cherries and glazed in almond glaze, there are a top fan favorite!

If you’ve ever had a cake donut here (any flavor), I you might be surprised that it was made without gluten! Every day we have a variety of gluten free donuts available. And on Wednesdays, we use dairy free ingredients in our gluten-frees. Every week! And guess what!? Today is Wednesday!! So if you can’t have gluten OR dairy, stop by and get yo’self a donut!! We have blueberry lemon, vanilla, and chocolate! Also for gluten free only, we have pumpkin maple and vanilla cake donuts with maple glaze!

Of course, as always, we have our regular donut menu available as well. And we are still doing all of our September specials: pumpkin cake donuts, pumpkin cheesecake filled donuts, peach cobbler, cherry fritters, and Samoa’s!

I’m not one to push summer out the door too quickly, but it feels like the right time to add some pumpkin treats to the menu! We now have our famous pumpkin cake donuts with maple glaze. It’s soft, moist, and delicious; and believe it or not (you won’t), it’s made without gluten!! Samples of the pumpkin cake donut will be available the first week or so. We also have pumpkin cheesecake stuffed donuts. They are made with the same whipped cream cheese filling as the blueberry cheesecake, but with pumpkin. Then rolled in pumpkin-spiced sugar. It’s like eating a pumpkin cheesecake hand pie!

If your kids are in public school in Spearfish, it’s the last day of summer break. Which makes it a great day to come in and grab a donut!

Tomorrow morning we’ll also be making extra chocolate, maple, and vanilla sprinkle donuts to celebrate the beginning of the new school year. I hope you can stop by 😊

Peach season is in its prime, so we are happy to announce the arrival of the peach 🍑 cobbler donut!! This one has a peach glaze, FRESH Colorado peaches, and a streusel crunch!

Our case is full and we’re excited to see you drop by!

The rest of the menu for the week is:

Cake donuts: blueberry with lemon glaze, chocolate with chocolate glaze, vanilla sprinkle, blackberry cucumber glazed, and maple glazed.

Yeast donuts: chocolate, chocolate sprinkle, maple glazed, maple pecan, vanilla sprinkle, just plain glazed, blackberry cucumber glazed, espresso chocolate toffee (I call it coffee toffee), s’mores.

Filled donuts: Bostons, maple creme filled with candied pecans (I call it maple bliss), blueberry cheesecake (a whipped, fluffy cheesecake filling with fresh blueberries), and peanut butter cheesecake with chocolate glaze and Reese’s pieces.

It’s rally week!! That can mean about anything for local businesses, but for us, we really hope some of those bikers like donuts! We have our case all stocked up and ready, so stop on by!

While you’re here, if you see this girl, tell her thanks for all her hard work. This is her last week before heading off to college. She has been such an amazing team member(baker) here and we will miss her dearly!

Don’t forget the new August menu is out with some of my faves!
