Recently, I've been talking to my kiddos about "frankenfoods" (I can't remember where I learned this term from, but I want to say .ingredients). Basically, it's food that's full of weird ingredients that make it shelf stable for years, and easier to mass produce.

We've been on this crazy journey, having to re-learn what is actually nourishing food and what is frankenfood. Learning that these weird ingredients, after a lifetime, starts to mess with your body. Learning that food labeled "low fat" doesn't automatically mean healthier. Learning that real ingredients, made slowly, and purposefully, with the intent to nourish, matters. And learning the quality of your food and ingredients, matter.

I've never been one to ascribe to certain "diets". Each one definitely has it's benefits, but aren't sustainable for me. But, for my family, we've found that natural sugars, no food dyes, real fats, free range eggs, and organic grains are sustainable.

This is what I hope to help you with. To make those fresh breads, with those real ingredients, so you don't have to. Because really, who has time for that?!

Since going gluten free a few months ago for my health (which believe me, was HARD!), I've d.e.a.r.l.y missed that crusty, classic artisan style bread.

Figuring out the right blend of gluten free flours and the right technique have definitely been an obsession of mine 🤪.
