Mother’s Day feels a little different this year. 💔
After losing both my mom and Lee’s mom in less than a year, I’ve honestly struggled to find inspiration for the holiday that usually fills the shop with so much love and excitement. Grief has a strange way of dimming even the brightest, sprinkle-covered corners of life.
So this year, I’m keeping things simple.
And if I’m being completely transparent… I could really use the support of this incredible community that has allowed Sassy Mama Sweets to exist all these years. Since the day we opened our doors, I’ve tried to pour love back into this community in every way I could. This year, I’m hoping that love finds its way back around. 🤍
I also know times are hard for so many people right now. That’s why we made sure to offer treats for every budget and every kind of “mom” there is.
Maybe it’s for your mom.
Maybe it’s for someone grieving their mom.
Maybe it’s for someone longing to become a mom.
A foster mom.
A stepmom.
A grandma or even a grandma at heart.
The woman who always shows up for everyone else.
