Halloween decorated pumpkin contest at the day job. I chose to do this Día de los Muertos/Catrina with ofrenda. Such a beautiful tradition in Mexican culture how could I not try to do it justice. This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with Icing Smiles again. A beautiful little girl named Sloane was turning 4 and requested a very girly cowgirl theme with pink and purple colors. The cake inside was a standard vanilla with vanilla buttercream and white chocolate ganache. I had such a blast and love working with such great organizations. I hope Sloane loved it and had fun as well.

A retirement cake for very special people in my life that I’m not ready to see move so far away. It is a moist lemon cake with lemon curd filling covered in white chocolate ganache for stability in heat as well as Swiss meringue buttercream. Topped with dark chocolate spheres colored in cold with custom toppers. *note: AC was broken and the cake held up on the outside but once we sliced into it melted, cake was moosh but was super lemony. 😆 s**t happens!

Achievement unlocked! Vanilla funfetti cake with Swiss meringue buttercream filling and icing. Edible image decor and fondant graduation cap with wafer paper diploma. Great way to celebrate a graduation!
