you can make cafe rio tortillas at home for $0.20 a piece 🌮✨

you don’t need a tortilla press to get bubbly, soft, cafe rio style tortillas. Just a few pantry staples and about 20 minutes!! Here ya go!

CAFE RIO COPYCAT TORTILLAS 👋

460 g flour
105 g veggie oil
210 g warm water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder

Mix all ingredients and knead. If too hard to knead, add a little water, but if too sticky add a little more flour. Separate into 10 78g balls.

Let sit covered for 10 min. Roll each ball out into a thin circle, they will end up being about 7" in diameter.

Cook them on a skillet at the highest heat setting about 400 F, and flip when bubbles appear on the surface, about 30 seconds per side.

These will stay fresh for 2 days in an airtight container but I recommend eating them right away!

YIELDS:

10 (78 g) 7" taco size tortillas OR

6 12" large size tortillas OR
