Hello to all friends of the Crumb Cart! ✨
A bit of a weird post incoming this am.
But first, I want to say thank you to everyone who visits the Crumb Cart, stops to chat, or says hello when they see me around South Dayton. I work alone from home, and this little cart has helped me feel much more connected to the community. Getting to know so many of you has genuinely been one of the best parts of doing this.
We had some theft at the Cart over the weekend. And in one particularly odd move, they even went into a bag with someone’s name on it to steal their bread. SO WEIRD.
The Cart isn’t my main source of income. It’s something I do because I love baking and sharing it with people. A lot of time and care goes into everything out there, so it was sad to see that care disregarded.
We have cameras, we’re aware of who did this, so on the off chance that they’re reading this… we see you. 👀
Mostly, though, I’m reminded that nearly everyone who stops here is kind, honest, and supportive. One disappointing incident doesn’t take away from any of that.
