With absolute sadness I write this last post as a final goodbye to Sonoma.
Starting Dirty Girl Donuts seven years ago with my best friend was the adventure of a life time. Coming to Sonoma four years ago was unexpected but I was so excited to be back home in Sonoma county. I have loved every second of owning and operating Dirty Girl Donuts. I would like to mention the amazing people behind the scenes that have made this little donut dream come true.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I have lost my backing and I cannot fund my small business by myself. Dirty Girl Donuts for me (Marisa Wondolleck) was a hobbie and passion I turned into a career. After losing my mother at 19 due to lung cancer, I had an abrupt upcoming in the world . I went to pastry school and worked for many bakeries over a period of time to support myself. I took a huge leap at 23 to open my own bakery and it has been a labor of love ever since.
I want to thank every single one of my customers for the loyalty and kindness they have shown my business. I truly don’t want to be done but I’m out of time. Our final day open will be June 16th. I ask you, Sonoma community, to show my business as much support as you can in the meantime before the donuts run out.
Thank you,
Marisa Wondolleck
