Good morning and happy Monday everybody! I’m going to dump a lot of info today, but will be sure to go more into detail over the next few weeks.

First, we are finally going to be releasing a monthly newsletter to allow people to stay more up to date on events. A portion of the newsletter is going to be saved exclusively for paid subscribers in the near future to allow us to raise money for events. But this first one will be free. Be sure to subscribe.

Second, for those who have been wanting to donate financially…you can finally do so through our venmo! Give us your money. If you feel so inclined.

And lastly, we have our next three events planned out. July is going to be a back-to-school event where we hope to feed folks while distributing some school supplies. Donations are very welcome for this project. I’m dumping a lot but like I said, I’ll be sure to break things up over the next few weeks. If y’all have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Happy Tuesday y’all!

Okay, as you can see in the flyer our next pop-up event is going to be a little different. Instead of hosting a meal at the Community Center, we are going to be offering a free lunch to anyone in need during the Farmer’s Market at Poe’s Tavern.

We are going to be offering some simple sandwich options. We will also have fruit, drinks, and other small snacks available.

If anyone has a cooler they could let us borrow for the day it would be much appreciated l. I have two but would like to try and keep more options chilled for folks.

I’ll be posting more info today about specific help we need and future events so stay tuned!

I plan to set up emails as well, but the best way to stay updated is going to be joining our Discord. Here’s the vision:

Not only can I easily coordinate who can volunteer, the where and when’s of it, but we can take it a step further and use it as a Virtual Community Bulletin Board. Need a babysitter? A mechanic willing to trade or do something pro bono? You see what I’m getting at.

So, if you want to stay in the loop be sure to download the Discord app. Let me know if you need any help with that!

This can also be a useful tool for all my neighbors that suffer from anxiety like I do. Get to know your neighbors without the pressure of being face to face (until you’re ready that is).
