A Difficult Goodbye….
It is with very heavy hearts that we have to share that Hope Floats Cafe & Gelato will be closing.
Sometimes life asks us to make difficult choices, and right now our family and our health need to come first. Closing the doors on something we have poured so much of ourselves into is incredibly difficult, but we know it is the right decision for us at this time.
Hope Floats was never just about coffee, food, and gelato. It was about people. It was about our little community coming together, catching up with friends, meeting new ones, and making memories.
We cannot thank this community enough for believing in us and supporting our little dream. Every visit, every kind word, every shared post, every recommendation, and every familiar face meant more than you probably realized.
Smithville, thank you for welcoming us, supporting us, and making Hope Floats what it became.
We leave with full hearts, countless memories, and an enormous amount of gratitude.
This isn't goodbye without sadness — but it is goodbye with so much appreciation for the journey. ❤️

You may have heard there are already new tenants secured that will be opening in the old Hope Floats space… The Playhouse! We’re all so excited that they will be reopening soon!
