And they’re off! I love creating super-personalized cakes. Belmont Racetrack was the subject behind this vision and every detail was handmade. My favorite part was painting each scene of a scene from Belmont in a Polaroid pic style. The winning blanket of flowers is made up of hundres of glued on carnations, (in this case, fondant carnations) according to research, takes about 10 hours to make, which is no match for the man hours this cake was given! From a running horse, to showing respect to Local 638, this birthday was a special one!
