The Corner Loaf didn't start with a great loaf of bread. It started with a dead starter and a lot of humility. 🍞

A little over two years ago my best friend gave me some starter and I was so excited — and then I killed it almost immediately. But I wasn't ready to give up. I got more starter, made a commitment, and spent a full year baking one loaf every single week. I documented each one. Ranked them. Watched the scores slowly creep up as my hands learned what my eyes couldn't always see.

That year changed everything. It's what led me here — to this stand, to this community, to you.

I still have lots to learn. But I'm in this for the long game, and I'm so grateful you're along for the ride. 🤍

If you’re new here — hi, welcome! I’m so glad you found us. Everything is homemade out of my little Smithsburg cottage kitchen, and there is nothing I love more than a Saturday morning like this one.
