Time for an update as Boot Scootin' has been in business for a year and a half now! I bake in my home kitchen in Smithsburg, MD so I prefer to meet cutomers for pick up at the local grocery store parking lot. I offer free delivery in Smithsburg, but in some cases can deliver outside of Smithsburg for a fee. I started this business making cinnamon/sticky buns, scones, cookies and breads and have ve

ry quickly added pies and cakes to my "menu". I don't have a website or official menu as three kids 6 years and under keep me plenty busy! Please browse photos on my FB/IG pages to get an idea of what I make and if you don't see exactly what you're looking for, please ask...I make new recipes all the time! I take orders through social media messaging and email. My calendar tends to book a month in advance. Sometimes I can fulfill a last minute order, but plenty of notice is always better! I bought this cookbook about 20 years ago and thought I would finally try a recipe out of it...Apple Cider Pie!

The crust has egg and apple cider vinegar and the filling has reduced apple cider. It was delicious, but look at all that juice!!!!😵‍💫

I took the kids to an orchard and we picked all kinds of apple varieties...apparently the ones we used for the pie weren't the best for baking. That's okay, that juice is pretty darn good over vanilla ice cream!

Now that we're settled in our new spot, I'm living my best sourdough life😅 Did you know, in addition to bread, you can make all kinds of treats with your sourdough starter discard??! Everything pictured is made with discard!

My husband and kids are also "living their best life" because for 4 years they watched your desserts go out the door while I neglected their own baked good needs🤣

I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this baking page so I'll just post what I've been up to in my kitchen every now and then🤠
