Emily Oaks Nature Center Skokie's 13-acre nature center is an oasis of native wildflowers, oak trees, a two-acre pond, trails open until sunset, and a spacious visitor facility.

MEET THE UNTOUCHABLES THIS WEEKEND!
Follow the trail at Emily Oaks Nature Center and meet the Untouchables at this year's Things That Go Bump in the Night! Learn what makes these plants and creatures special and why they should never be touched. Tickets are going fast, with two Saturday time slots already sold out, so be sure to get yours today!

Your visit ends at a campfire with c***r and songs. This family-friendly event is fun and informative, not frightening. In case of heavy rain, the event will be moved indoors. Fee: $9 per person.

🍂 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL 🍂
After a stretch of rainy weather, the trails at Emily Oaks Nature Center are looking especially green this afternoon! We took a short walk around the trail, stopped to listen, look around and snap a few photos along the way. For a little while, there was nowhere else to be.

While you’re there, don’t forget to check out this year’s Nature Photography Contest! Photos were taken at Emily Oaks by amateur photographers, and you can vote for your favorite through September 27. Ballots are available at the front desk.

STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER AT EMILY OAKS
Bring your favorite stuffed animal to Emily Oaks before 4 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Your friend will stay overnight for fun and adventure! Then return on Sunday for a self-guided winter hike using a photo journal to see what your stuffed animal was up to while you were away. Pre-registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult on Sunday. For families with children ages 2-8.
