🦆❤️ When you’re 4 years old and have a VERY important request for Grandma and Grandpa!

Our little farm girl takes her egg-gathering job seriously! Every evening she heads out to collect eggs, but this time she found something that sparked a BIG idea! 🥚💕

She wants us to put ONE special duck egg in the incubator and hatch her very own baby duckling! 🐣🥹

Now, keep in mind… we already have about 40 ducks running around Moos Farmstead! 😂🦆

But how do you say no to that sweet little face?!

So here’s the million-dollar question… when you already have 40 ducks, what’s ONE more?! 😂❤️

This is why we love heritage pigs.
Our red gilt became a first-time mom yesterday and delivered 5 healthy piglets — 3 gilts and 2 boars — all on her own out in the pasture.

No farrowing pen. No assistance. Just a good mother doing exactly what pigs were made to do naturally.

Strong maternal instincts, hardiness, and the ability to thrive outdoors are a big part of why we choose heritage genetics at MOOS Farmstead.

They take more time, more feed, more work, and more space to raise than conventional pigs, but to us, these marvelous beauties are well worth every bit of it.

And the added bonus? Some of the best-tasting pork money can buy.
