💔😔This is one of the hardest posts I've had to write. This was not an easy decision but I have some news to share with you all! .
Love + Flour Bakery and Cafe at Milling Around will be closing at the end of May.
🔻 The last day open will be May 29th.🔻
I have physically and mentally poured so much time, hard work, love and talent into my food and desserts there. That combined with the lack of sales and other personal things, has lead to a extreme fatigue and I guess a bit of a burn out...
It was my dream to open a storefront. I got that dream and it was amazing!!!!! But it slowly started fading.... Because when you pour everything you have into something, and things just don't go the way you expect, it's very, very hard.
This experience has completely changed my outlook on small, family run businesses. They need our support!!! They need your word of mouth to keep them running!!!! A like and share on their posts! You don't need to purchase to support them, there's other ways! The feelings of failure start to creep in, and there's no sense of hope, all they want is to share what they make with the local community in hopes of maybe paying off some outstanding debt, or paying for groceries, or a day out with their children.
As far as my business going forward, lots of you know I baked out of my house/bake shack for years. I am NOT completely quitting my business. There are a few things in the works at the moment too revamp the business so it's not so stressful for me and I can spend more time with my family. That being said, I'm taking June and July off to REST and reset. The exhaustion is so real! If you have booked with me later in the year, I am still planning on fulfilling those orders❤️
We will be READY and EXCITED to serve you till the end of May! Come see us before we close 🥹
I want to thank each and every one of you that supported me this last year! It has meant the world to me. I absolutely loved serving all of you! And I have met and made SO many new friends! It fulfilled my dream as a child of bringing pretty and delicious food to your table and filling a display case with desserts!!
I am also quite partial to downtown Siloam springs now and will miss it so, so much🥹❤️
I want to thank Kellie Coker, the one that cheered me on and gave me pep talks when I was feeling discouraged ❤️, Heather Finstra Lanker for her cute little space I rented, and for always hyping up my cinnamon rolls😆, and last of all Shana Arnold for putting up with all my shenanigans and being able to trust her completely with working the bakery on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and for you all, all my customers, the regulars that came every week, I will miss you so much!! Couldn't have done it without any of you!!
This is not the end, it's only the start of something different... Something that can also be beautiful and good.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!
P.s. I'm definitely crying....
