Yeah we didn't have back to back shoots this year for Memorial day and June. The shoot this weekend will be (June6&7) will be a blanket shoot, theme fi****ms related prizes.

At the last meeting it was decided that this shoot for potluck we will have grilled hamburgers donated by Brad and Ann Phillips. So everyone else is to bring chips, salads, baked beans or dessert.

Outdoor Adventure Day went well. We had a steady stream of visitors of all ages that came to shoot and our bake sale sold lots of goodies. And the weather was perfect. Our next shoot will be this coming weekend, May 2nd and 3rd. Hope to see you there!

May 23-25th - Memorial Day Shoot
June 6-7th - Blanket Shoot, Fi****ms related prizes
July 4-5th - Fourth of July
August 1-2nd - Blanket Shoot, Disguise your prize
September 5-7th - Labor Day Shoot, Fireworks, Raffle give away
October 3-4th - Blanket Shoot, Clean Your Gun
October 24th - Haunted Hollow Demo, 9:00-4:00
November 7-8th - Blanket Shoot, Things to wear

The Pioneer Longrifles held their Christmas party at TumbleReeds Mercsntile today! Good food. Good friends, good times ! Thanks to Jennifer and Tim Reed for all of their hard work to make the party such a success. The food was GREAT! If you're ever in the neighborhood of Indian Cave State park stop in and have a bite to eat or a yummy icecream.

The Pioneer Longrifles participated in the Pheasants Forever Youth Mentor Hunt today. Ten kids got to try black powder shooting. Most of them got in three or four shots. Most of the comments were "cool" or "awesome ". It was a pleasure to be able to work with them.

Just a reminder. The Club Christmas party will be on Sunday,December 7th, at Tumblereeds Mercantile, just outside of Indian Cave State park. We will be eating at 1:00. Cost will be $10.00 per person. If you haven’t already RSVPd, please do so by November 15th. I need to know we will have enough food for everyone. You can message me (Ann Phillips)on facebook or email [email protected].

OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

We had beautiful weather for the Oct. shoot although it was pretty windy. We had 10 members shooting. We also had 55 spectators with 13 youth and 9 adults shooting for demos.
The next shoot will be October 25 for the Haunted Hollow demo shoot. There will be a bake sale, so bakers fire up your ovens.

The last shoot of the year will be Nov. 1&2. This is a weather permitting shoot. The theme will be gun related.

We had a group from the Nebraska Game Wardens & Conservation Officers Youth Hunt join us today to try some black powder shooting. The boys ranged in age from 12 to 15. They were paired with a conservation officer to learn about deer hunting. Some of the boys had already gotten their deer in the morning. It was a pleasure to work with them.
