Y'all. I'm finishing up as second big ol' pot of DOLLY'S BISCUIT CHICKEN DUMPLINGS because yesterday you cleaned us near out and the response has been overwhelmingly positive...

Y'all went through them today and gave a lot of positive feedback so I'm making a fresh batch to keep us going through the weekend and into Monday! Remember that 20% of every sale is going to Renzi Education and Art Center to support their mission of free education for our youth!

Still going strong through the weekend of the Festival; we will have a fresh batch of Country Pleasin' sausage coming in tomorrow. We're excited to give $2 from every sandwich sold to the Highland Jazz & Blues Festival to support our favorite local festival!

OH DOLLY!
Like many of you, the folks at Shreveport Biscuit Company are absolutely beside ourselves following the loss of national treasure Dolly Parton, so I decided to make us all a big soothing pot of one of Dolly's favorite comfort foods... our version of Dolly's SBC Chicken & Dumplings.

Made with a big buttery Shreveport Biscuit, whole local Mahaffey Farms chickens, wholesome vegetables like carrots, onions, and celery, and lots of love while listening to some of Dolly's greatest hits. Each bite is a taste of comfort to get us through these trying times; perfect for a hearty breakfast or lunch that will keep you cozy till your next meal.

And because we also want to celebrate Dolly's commitment to being a force for good in this world and taking care of our kids, we are donating 20% of each sale to the Renzi Education and Art Center to support their mission of providing free high-quality after-school academic and art classes to K-12 youth in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Yesterday I went out to Lenox Acres to pick these gorgeous muscadines for something very special we have coming at you in September with Slow Food North Louisiana!

Despite the tedious process involved with cooking down these little gems into a delicious treat, muscadines are my favorite local fruit to work with. The time it takes to pick the fruit and then process it in the kitchen into something wonderful and tasty makes me feel so connected to the place and season we are in and reminds me why I fell in love with food and the feelings that motivate us to do what we do here at Shreveport Biscuit Company. 💛🍇💛
