🍞 Big News + One Last Shoreham Pickup! 🍪

August is bringing a big change for This Ginger Has Snapped Bakery!

After an incredible year serving the Shoreham community, I’m excited to share that the bakery is moving to Garden City! While this chapter is bittersweet, I’m so grateful for every order, every kind word, and every person who has supported this little dream.

Before the move, I’ll have ONE FINAL Shoreham pickup:

If you’ve been meaning to grab a fresh loaf of sourdough or a batch of cookies, now’s the perfect time! I’d love to see many of you one last time before we begin this exciting new adventure.

The Garden City opening date is still to be announced while we get everything set up, but I’ll be sharing updates along the way. I can’t wait to bake for both familiar faces and new neighbors.

While there are several days throughout the year dedicated to celebrating chocolate—and really, can there ever be too many? 🤣—World Chocolate Day is celebrated on July 7, commemorating the introduction of chocolate to Europe in 1550.

I’ll be celebrating by baking up a batch of chocolate chip cookies for family coming to visit. ❤️🍪 Because nothing says “welcome” quite like the smell of freshly baked cookies!

There’s just something about a warm chocolate chip cookie with a soft center that makes everything a little better.

These are cooling now, but not for long! If your idea of happiness is a thick, bakery-style cookie that’s soft, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips… you’re looking at it. ❤️

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to use every ounce of self-control not to “quality test” half the batch. 😂🍪

Thankfully, this beautiful sourdough already has a home to go to today… because if it didn’t, I’m pretty sure my household would devour it in a matter of minutes. 😂🍞
Fresh out of the oven, perfectly crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside… it’s definitely testing everyone’s self-control around here!

Fresh gingersnaps cooling on the rack for Book Club tonight, and the house smells incredible. Thankfully these cookies already have a destination—otherwise my self-control would definitely be put to the test. 🤣🍪
