There may be a time when I may feel like baking up a small storm and putting some goodies out for you, but I will always let you know in plenty of time. 🥨🍞🍩🥧

Thank you again for your support! Hoping for warm sunny 🌞🌷 days ahead, we were spoiled this winter.

1 cup warm milk (240 ml)

Hello!

I want each of you to know that I love every minute of baking for you❣️🥯🧁🍞🥖 The Bread Shed is a success because of you!

Over the next few months I have to "pause" the bakery to focus on my health. I'm planning to come back at the end of summer feeling better and stronger than ever. There is nothing considered life or death, but if I don't take the time now, I won't be able to continue baking.

I'll be in touch here 📝, and don't be a stranger. If you need anything in the meantime 🍞🍪, let me know, and I will do my best to make it happen if I can. 🥰

You know the saying, "The best laid plans"...I lost 3 baking days this week, one to a dishwasher issue that saw its parts out on the floor 🤪!
So I went to work with the 2 days, and I gotta say, tomorrow I have some of the best bread I think I've ever baked, and the Peanut Butter Cookies are heaven! My Twisted Cinnamon Bread is back 🥳, and the Artisan Bread has my mouth watering❣️
This month will see pretzels and sourdough bread, finally!!

Bread is on its way, in many forms. Happily I am baking again because Rowdy is doing terrific! We got kudos for his care from the vet on Sat, hooray! He is sleeping longer, while playing harder! We are not seeing much of that 50% Border Collie in him, it's looking like his heart is Anatolian Shepherd like his dad.
So, back to hearty breads that you asked for, putting the sweet breads behind us except the twisted raisin bread will be back out on Sat 10-4!
Gifted a German Bread cookbook, I'll be working on pretzels, and maybe some surprises if I can bake without puppy teeth digging in to my feet! 🤪🥰❣️❤️‍🩹🐕🐶

Thank you to so many well-wishers during this temporary closure of The Bread Shed. Looking to reopen March 7th. I'm excited about adding pretzels, and a few surprises!
Needing to take some time to care for this little miracle, and continue to get very little sleep, it will all be worth it, as Rowdy gets stronger every day❣️

It's Friday Feb 20th, and we have snow ❄️, loads of snow 🌨! I'm happy those pesky mosquitoes are gone!

This week has brought some challenges that has kept me from baking. Tomorrow, Sat 21st The Bread Shed will be closed and will will reopen next Sat as usual, 10-4.

We are working with the Lassen County Animal Control in a severe puppy abuse case. While nursing 2 back to health, one sadly did not make it. Travels and loss of sleep this week is a wonderful price to pay for saving even 1 life.
Help us welcome "Rowdy" into our hearts and home, who against all odds is a miracle who not only survived, but is thriving!
Thank you for your understanding, I'll see you next Saturday!
