Literally such a cool opportunity for me and my little home bakery 🤩 growing up frequently going across the original bridge when my dad felt like taking the "back way" home from placerville 🤣 (for those that dont know i was raised in garden valley so placerville was where we shopped) so so blessed i can create these edible pieces of artwork for people!
When things in life get heavy I try to sit and realize my life is so beautiful and im so blessed!! Getting to be home with these beautiful babies and being able to create such an amazing community with my baking 💕 new bridge opens tomorrow ! How exciting !!!

Just a heads up! Next week ( 8/20- 8/24) I will not be talking any orders ! I may have the stand open that Sunday but not 100%. Going to a concert Friday so won't have a traditional bake day! Thanks ❤️

With my recent lift in followers I figured I would do a little about me for the people who don't know the girl behind cakes on board! Hi my name is Kelsey 👋 i started cakes on board in 2022 in just my small 2 bedroom apartment. We then moved into our beautiful house we live in here in shingle springs. And since I have been able to do this on a much larger scale. (Fun fact, tyler my handsome fiance came up with the company name for me knowing my love for skateboards, all things 90s kid, and checkers 🖤🤍 )
I have been a baker and Cake decorator going on 14year now. I just the young age of 19 I started working at red hawk casino in their bakery and FULLY ABSORBED EVERYTHING!!! taught by some of the best pastry chefs and chocolatiers, I was a literal sponge ! They do so many different desserts on a daily that I think my brain is perfectly ok with doing a billion different things in the stand every weekend ! 🙃😅 im used to the chaos. Id then go on to work for the amazing frank vilt. He taught me to slow down, pay attention to detail, freshness, the art of running a business and supplying desserts for ppl on a time limit ! Forever grateful for my years with him!
I moved on from that to a few different grocery stores but learned very quickly I hated the structure ( im a rebel I know 🤣🤪) so thats when I pulled the plug and started cakes on board ! Its been a slow steady ride to success, its exhausting some days and now being a stay at home working mom some days don't go as planned lol but I dont want this any other way!
So just know every time you buy from the stand on the weekends or are doing a custom order my little family is Forever grateful ! 🙏
