One of my favorite things about Java Moon Station is how many different mornings we get to be part of.

The regulars coming through the drive-thru, families grabbing breakfast, and friends catching up over coffee.

It’s a busy little place on Coffeen Avenue, and we sure appreciate everyone who makes us part of their day.

What’s everyone up to this weekend? Pumpkin patches, Halloween decorating, or just trying to get through that weekend to-do list?

One of the things we value most at Java Moon is community.

And when Megan talks about community, she doesn’t just mean the people who walk through the door, drive through the drive-thru, order catering, or make Java Moon part of their day.

She also means the community that is Java Moon.

The baristas who learn your drinks. The bakers who make each sweet treat. The managers who lead. And all the people who work hard every single day to make Java Moon a place for people to gather, enjoy really good food and feel welcome.

We spend so much time together, and we want to create space to actually know each other outside of work, too.

So last week, we did exactly that.

We went to Koltiska’s as a team, brought our families, wandered the pumpkin patch, laughed a lot, and then headed to Powder River Pizza.

We got to support a couple of other small businesses doing what they do best, and we got another chance to build the community within Java Moon.

We had the best time.

To everyone who makes Java Moon what it is every single day, thank you. We appreciate each and every one of you.

There’s something about seeing our bakery case full in the fall that just makes me happy.

But what I love even more is everything that happens before it gets there.

The dough being made. Muffins being scooped one by one. Scones coming out of the oven. Our bakery team working behind the scenes so that when you walk into Java Moon Station, there’s a case full of food that was actually made here.

And right now, it definitely looks like fall.

Apple cinnamon muffins, pumpkin spice muffins, savory scones, cookies…and plenty more tucked into that case.

Add a coffee made just the way you like it, and this is a pretty good way to spend a fall morning on Coffeen at Java Moon Station.

Our baristas wanted to have a little fun with this week’s special… and I think they nailed it.

The Butterbeer Energy Spritzer has that fun fall feel without being another coffee drink—sweet, creamy, a little unexpected, and naturally caffeinated with green coffee beans. It’s one of those drinks that just feels right for this time of year.

I love when our baristas get creative and come up with something that makes the week a little more fun—and this one definitely does.

Sometimes you just want something fresh that still feels like a real meal.

Our Harvest Moon Salad has quickly become one of my favorite things on the menu. Seasoned chicken, crisp apples, feta, pumpkin seeds, a drizzle of honey, and our homemade signature dressing all come together so well.

It’s fresh, filling, a little sweet, a little savory — and such a good change of pace when you’re craving something other than your usual lunch.

One of my favorite things about our weekly specials is that they give our baristas a chance to have a little fun and create something of their own. This week, they wanted to make things feel a little more magical, so they built the Butter B**r Energy Spritzer around butterscotch, caramel and marshmallow flavors.

They finish it with sweet cold foam, which gives it that creamy, dessert-like feel without losing the energy spritzer base.

And there’s something else I love about our Energy Spritzers. The caffeine comes naturally from green coffee beans, so while the flavors are playful, the base is still something we feel really good about serving.

I love when our baristas get creative like this. It makes the weekly specials feel a little more personal — and this one definitely brought some magic to the menu.
