I’m Kris, and this is my sister Megan.

Together, we own Java Moon Station.

And this is my dad — or Bullet Bob, as some people know him.

If you know the three of us, you know there is usually some kind of plan being talked about.

Actually…scheming is probably the better word.

That’s what my dad has always called it.

We come by it honestly. Growing up, Dad always had at least three businesses going at once. He was constantly thinking about the next thing. What could he build? What could he improve? What could he try next?

So really, Megan and I never had much of a chance.

When we started making plans for Java Moon Station, there was this old white 1965 milk truck sitting there with the building we were renting.

And I still remember seeing it for the first time.

Our eyes lit up.

It was old. It was rough. The inside needed a lot of love. There were tired cabinets, an old driver’s seat, peeling walls, and plenty of reasons to probably leave it alone.

But somehow, that’s not what we saw.

We saw what it could be.

We started imagining a way to take Java Moon outside our four walls. A way to bring a little piece of what we love about Java Moon to different places, different people, and different parts of our community.

And then life happened.

We opened the Station.

It got busy.

Really busy.

So the old milk truck sat there.

And sat there.

And sat there some more.

But we never stopped talking about it.

Every once in a while, one of us would look at it and say, “We really need to do something with that truck.”

And then we’d go right back to running the coffee shop.

But the idea never went away.

This summer, we finally decided it was time.

Time to stop talking about it.
Time to stop scheming.
Time to see if this crazy little idea we had been carrying around for so long could actually become something real.

And that was the beginning of the Moon Rover.

Sometimes lunch just needs to be easy.

You’re in the middle of work, running errands, hauling kids around, or just suddenly realizing it’s noon and you haven’t eaten anything yet.

That’s exactly the kind of day Java Moon Station was made for.

Grab a salad and an energy spritzer. Pick up lunch through the drive-thru. Order ahead when you know you’re going to be in a hurry. Or come inside, find a table and give yourself a few minutes before heading back out into the rest of your day.

Nothing complicated. Just really good food, a cold drink, and one less thing to figure out today.

We’re here on Coffeen when you need us.

National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is one holiday we can absolutely get behind. 🍪

Every chocolate chip cookie at Java Moon is scratch baked right here in our bakery. It’s one of those simple things we’re proud of—made from scratch, baked fresh, and ready whenever you need a little something to brighten your day.

Swing through the drive-thru at Java Moon Station, or come park downtown at Java Moon, settle in with your favorite coffee, and stay awhile.

Wherever you spend today, we hope there’s a warm chocolate chip cookie somewhere in it. And if not... we know where to find one.

Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day from all of us at Java Moon.

July was full of early mornings, fresh flowers, flour-covered counters, new flavors, smiling faces, and thousands of little moments that made Java Moon Station what it was.

Some people stopped in every day.
Some found us for the very first time.
Some came for coffee and stayed for breakfast.
Others just needed a place to slow down for a few minutes.

Every drink poured, every loaf baked, every cookie decorated, and every conversation across the counter became part of our July story.

Thank you for spending another month with us. We can’t wait to see what August brings.

Have you ever looked at our menu and thought...

“What in the world is a Chagaccino?”

You’re definitely not the first.

It’s one of the drinks we’re asked about the most, so we thought we’d share a little more about what it is and why so many people enjoy it.

Swipe through to learn a little more about chaga and what makes it so unique.

If you’ve been curious but haven’t tried one yet, ask one of our baristas the next time you’re in. We’d love to tell you more and help you decide if it’s something you’d enjoy.

Have you tried a Chagaccino yet?
