It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a cake I’ve made, and it’s also been awhile since I’ve made this particular beauty, but I figured I should listen to all the people that have told me I need to share my creations. This cake seemed like a a good place to start.

This one was for a wedding last July, and it was the first time I had used floral wire to prop the flowers up like they were growing from the base of the cake. I loved the end result!

There have been a lot of baby shower cakes lately! This one was a fun idea to portray a couple’s choice to wait to find out the gender. I’m sure their surprise will be everything they have hoped for!

Being a dog person, I had no idea what a tuxedo cat was when I was asked to make this little chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream. Thank goodness for Google. It turns out that I kind of like the black cat with a white chest look.

When I think of Darin Olson, funny stories and fond memories come to mind and a smile appears on my face. Darin is one of the kindest souls you will come across, and the world is lucky to have him on it for 51 years now. Happy birthday, Darin! I hope this year brings you many more miles on a bike!
