Hey all! Remember last summer when 20% of the baking sales went to help replace trees in Shell Rock from last summer's derecho?

A HUGE thank you to all who donated and bought extra. On Saturday we were able to provide 15 good sized trees to the 15 folks who applied for a tree (no one was left out).

I'm 12 weeks post surgery and can, once again, handle small orders. My shoulder tires easily, so I'm easing into it---but tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday there will be Nikki's Nummies at Love and Lace in Waverly for Cabin Fever days!!

Well folks, it appears as if there will be a pause in your favorite treats!

I've had some folks asking about my Christmas offerings and I'm sad to say there will be none. I have a couple of special orders that I will honor - BUT - here is the deal.

In September of 2024 I hurt my shoulder and it's progressively become worse. Often at the end of baking days this summer I was sitting in a chair with ice on it, sometimes near tears.

After stretching it, trying to strengthen it, resting it, icing it, etc. I gave in and sought help. Now it appears that surgery is in my future to repair a torn rotator cuff. Apparantly, none of those things makes a tear reconnect -HA!

Thanks for hanging in there with me - I hope to be back, better than ever! I'll provide updates ASAP.
