I truly don’t think I can even process what has happened to the town I grew up in and the surrounding communities. To see the places you have so many memories, make plans to visit when you come home and the place you were be raised just GONE, is so upsetting. People are missing, people are dying and it’s like the world is continuing on (as it does) but it’s not being covered,it is just devastating. While this is heartbreaking for any community this one hits so close to home. I am so thankful my family is safe. The friends I’ve heard from are safe but the community as a whole is so much worse than you can even fathom. 💔
My heart is so heavy for not being there to help but I can continue to donate/drop off supplies to those that can! If you are able to please do- I’m going to post those that I know are able to take donations of the things most needed (which is basically everything).
If you are going, please go prepared because there are not resources to help everywhere is only accepting cash but no one has cash. If you would like to help from afar here are so amazing local resources! If you know of others and would like to post below please share 🩷
