“Why would I pre-order for something now that I won’t get until 6 months later?”
Okay, soooooooo, here’s the hubbub on Florida. 😂
The first time I went to Florida, I had NOOO direction. At the time, my husband and I wanted to go, scope out the housing market, and do some business there. The MAJOR disadvantage was spending money I didn’t have.
I didn’t have orders. I paid for everything out of pocket. I didn’t know how much supplies I was going to need, if I was even going to have customers, or if I would make back the money I spent JUST to travel there. I offered every single item on my menu, was constantly running to Publix for supplies for an order, etc.
I don’t even think I made a profit because I had no strategy.
This time, I would like to go back with pre-orders that have ALREADY been planned and paid for, so I know exactly how much supplies to bring. I can afford a $1k Airbnb (that’s literally how much they are down there basically anywhere now 😭), AND I can’t allow last-minute pre-orders a month or two before because the rates will go up on everything. Plus gas, travel expenses, etc.
And if we don’t end up hitting that goal, then the GiveSendGo fundraiser will refund all the money, and there’s no harm, no foul. I don’t have to make the Florida trip.
I decided on the pre-order system because it’s EFFICIENT. It doesn’t make sense to do business BLIND like I did last time and lose money.
Unfortunately, the Florida group pages don’t approve some of my posts, so I’m making one here for those of you who do follow me from Florida. 🫶🏻
I hope this makes sense for everyone who is asking the “why would I do that?” part. 🤍
