The younger Scouts spent a summer night visiting the Seward Police Department. The kids had a great time and learned quite a bit. Thanks to our Police officers for hosting!

Thank you, Seward, for all your support during our Scouting for Food event this last week (we do still have a couple of Scouts hoping to collect this week/weekend as well)! With your help we were able to donate a large collection to the Seward United Methodist church food pantry on Monday night. We appreciate the importance of teaching our Scouts about the value of helping others and serving their community.

Great job, Cub Scouts at the 2025 District Derby! Jack (race), Gabe and Mason (both in show) all brought home some hardware. The rest contributed solid competition in both race and show with so much representation from Pack 256. Proud of all of these kids!

Pack 256 parents~ The District Pinewood derby will be held on March 30th from 9AM to about 1:30PM in Brainard, NE. We will be registering the children through the Pack so you do not need to do that.

We will decide which children will enter for race and which for show during our Blue & Gold night on Monday 3/24. We enter a child only for one or the other. If your child has qualified for both, they will need to decide which they wish to enter for.

The annual running of the Prairie Winds District Pinewood Derby is scheduled to take place March 30, 2025.  Pack 296 has graciously accepted

Our Blue & Gold night is coming up on the 24th! All Cub Scouts are encouraged to work with their parents to create a cake for silent auction. Here are some ideas from previous years! Draw inspiration but remember, we want the kids to make the cakes, they do not need to be perfect! :)
