Why is it SO hard to find people to work!? I've run ads, I've scheduled interviews (that most people just don't show up for) I've hired 3 people - one emailed the next day to say he changed his mind. The second, confirmed with me via text her start day and time - didn't show up and didn't respond when I checked in on her. The third - came in for his first shift seemingly "high' and was let go 2 hours into the shift. I'm hiring nighttime bakers - need 2 or 3 - either part or full time. If anyone knows anyone, send them my way! Please and thank you! ❤️🥐

So, this week's may be the last CSP for awhile. Pickups from the bakery on FRIDAY ONLY. (no Saturday pickups) I just sent out the newsletter with this information - but wanted to post it here as well. Sarah's last day is Friday. My sous chef of 15.5 years, my right AND left hand! When you come to pickup on Friday, wish her well. Don't mind us if we're drinking champagne and weeping a little while you're here! 😆🥂😭 On Monday 10/25 I'll be down to a part time person and a new girl who started today. We are not STAFFED - not even well enough to cover our wholesale business. So, we're getting creative and trying to keep it all going. But we have to be realistic. We can only do so much without people. So, please order up, plan to freeze some pieces. We will get back to this once I have good people in place and their training has kicked in and we're all proficient again! I appreciate everyone's support and understanding as we go through this unprecedented staffing shortage. If you know anyone who wants a full time pastry production gig, have them PM me!❤️🥐

We are HIRING! We need 2 more dayshift pastry cooks (basic scaling/mixing recipe production and table work) and at least one more nightshift baker. (proofing/baking/finishing and packing) We are experiencing a staffing shortage like never before. It takes PEOPLE to handcraft this beautiful pastry! The CSP site is live and taking orders again for 10/8 and 10/9 pickups. (including the Deale pickup that Saturday) Check out the fall flavors - pumpkin and maple are back on the menu! 🎃
HOWEVER - we are shortstaffed like never before! I had to omit the quiches from this round. I am sorry to disappoint, but there are barely staff or time to do the normal pastries, we just cannot fit in the extra production this week! Thanks so much for understanding and for your continued support! Hope to be fully staffed and up to speed for PIES next month! Wish me luck! ❤️🥐

BOSTOCK: A slice of brioche soaked in a simple syrup flavored with bitter almond and Cointreau. Filled with a vanilla pastry cream/almond cream combo studded with rum raisins. Topped with raw sliced almonds and baked again. Chewy cake, cream and crunch. PERFECT. Don't forget cutoff to order yours is midnight tonight for pickup from the bakery Friday and Saturday this week. ❤️🥐

Well hello, pastry lovers! We're back! 🥰 The CSP is live again online. We will be doing pickups every OTHER week for a little while as we ease into the busy season. September dates are Friday 9/10 and Saturday 9/11. Then Friday 9/24 and 9/25. We will also be in Deale on Saturday 9/25.

And before anyone asks - pumpkin flavors don't start until OCTOBER!! 🎃

As you know, we've taken 2 weeks off from the CSP. We will be doing our final summer pickup next weekend - Friday 7/30 and Saturday 7/31. We will also be in Deale on the 31st. So stock up. Y'all know this pastry freezes well! We will resume weekly pickups after Labor Day. The store is back online now. Cutoff for next weekend is Wednesday 7/28 at midnight. The breakfast pastries you've come to know and love PLUS the special quiches are all up and ready for your orders.

We thank you and appreciate all of the support for this crazy idea of mine. It grew beyond our wildest expectations. We are still here in large part because of community support.
