This weekend was BUSY!! I made 4 loaves of sourdough (2 were already eaten/gifted), discard pancakes, a ginger bug, and started a ferment on some garlic honey!

My ginger bug is pictured on the right. It will be used to make naturally fermented prebiotic sodas and some delicious ginger beer! Literally just raw ginger root, sugar, and water. I used about a cup of each.

My fermented honey is on the left and is invaluable during cold and flu season. Garlic is SO versatile as it is an antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifungal. It’ll whoop those icky viruses. Honey has been shown to be an antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, anticancer, and have antimetastatic effects. It also contains rnough raw yeast and bacteria to ferment and provide some amazing microbes. It’ll ferment for about a month and then be ready to go!!

So excited to create more recipes!
