Good morning,

Just a reminder today is our last day in Sequim.

I was able to fit in a couple pies yesterday so if you are a pie fan I have coconut cream and also a triple berry.
We have cinnamon rolls, carrot cake cupcakes and hopefully more carrot cake slices beyond what’s been reserved.

Breakfast specials today is our Hawaiian. Specials but I will also have traditional breakfast menu and a corned beef hash special.

Thank you to everyone for all of the love.

We will miss you so much.

To my staff, you all were the crew we have had since I opened 2 1/2 years ago.

First and foremost, it’s been an emotional past few days. I wish I could thank everyone personally for the love and support but I just don’t have the capacity right now.

Thank you all so much. The crew will be serving up some amazing specials and can’t wait to see everyone in the coming days.
I am out of commission until the 10th and then hope to be in the Bistro from the 10th to the 15th. They will be limited on Carrot cake without me but will have some..

Also when I get back to the Bistro I will be making carrot cake non stop so if you want any just call and place an order and I will get it made for you. You can place orders by the slice and it is just as good frozen as fresh. (So if you need to stock up lol)

On a side note my health issues are all physical and have been made worse by my work ethic unfortunately. I do not have any life threatening issues but the physical pain is enough, I know a few people have seen me on the floor trying to relieve pain before and im waiting fo couple surgeries to hopefully fix some issues.

We are deeply saddened to let everyone know that March 15th, 2026, will be our last day in business – we will not be reopening after that. We will be having a special St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on March 14th and a Hawaiian Breakfast on March 15th, so watch for posts about those.

We have loved being a part of the community for the last 2 ½ years. Please be sure to stop by and support my amazing staff as much as possible before we close. Our employees all have jobs; I made sure of that prior to this decision, and it is not an easy one, but it is totally necessary.

Good morning everyone.

Just an update on questions I’ve been getting about the Riverhouse.

We are no longer specifically making the baked goods I used to make. We do try to have the important things like carrot cake and cinnamon rolls, scones but I’m not able to work very often due to medical issues and I can only do what I can physically do. I am however teaching a couple staff how to make these things. (It’s not easy to share recipes like these, that are family secrets).

The Bistro is being run by Maria and Katie, they are both capable of resolving any issues or discussing special orders if needed.

Please keep in mind that we are doing the best we can in the current economy to keep our staff intact and I really appreciate the support of our community over the last couple years.

This past 6 months has had a lot of challenges and we are doing the best we can every day. IF you have issues PLEASE ask to speak to someone, we want everyone to be happy when they leave the Riverhouse and if you don’t tell us we won’t know. We know you have a choice on where to spend your money and we respect that you choose us.
