Lately, I’ve noticed I’ve been a little moody and shorttempered. Every time I finally feel settled and get into a routine, life changes and I’m starting over again.
I miss having my family and friends nearby someone I can just sit with, laugh with and talk to.
So I asked myself, what do I need more of right now?
The answer was easy: connection. ❤️

And I really just want to say thank you.

Some of you have already bought the book and I don’t even know if you realize how much that means to me. My family, my friends, and so many of you on this page have supported me through all the different things I’ve done over the years… and here we are. I wrote a book. 😂❤️

So thank you. Really.

And I was thinking maybe we should go LIVE one night and just talk.

STORY TIME ❤️

You know how sometimes someone comes into your life and it doesn’t take years for you to know, this is my person?

That’s my friend Karen Kilpatrick

We haven’t known each other forever, but somehow it feels like we have. In such a short amount of time, she has become one of my very best friends one of those rare kindred-soul friendships that just feels easy.

When something wonderful happens, she’s one of the first people I want to call. And when life feels heavy, she’s one of the first people I want to call then, too.

Today was one of those days.

I’ve been a little under the weather, and then I saw the news coming out of Nepal and it just made me sad. Being so far away from home, I suddenly had that feeling of, I need to talk to Karen.

So I called her.

And sometimes that’s all you need. Not somebody to fix anything. Not somebody with the perfect words. Just somebody who knows you, listens to you, makes you laugh, and somehow leaves your heart a little lighter than it was before.

Karen, I hope you know how much I love you and how grateful I am that Seneca brought you into my life. ❤️

Some friendships take years to become home.

Some just feel like home from the beginning.

For so many years, I knew exactly who I wasa cocktail waitress.

When that ended, traveling and not working felt amazing… until it didn’t. I got lost for a while. I think I was searching for purpose without even realizing it.

Then somehow, the woman who had never baked in her life became a baker and built a successful bakery. I became an author. And now I’m days away from launching something completely new.

The funny thing is, I didn’t see any of it while it was happening.

I had to look back to realize…
