A few weeks back I was dying for a soup, but not our usual recipes…

Lo and Behold, the internet delivered with the idea of a shrimp and crab bisque.

Now, I didn’t have any crab at home, BUT I had lobster tail soooooo, here we have my take on a Shrimp and Lobster Bisque.

Guys, it was soooooo good. My only complaint is that I didn’t make enough for seconds 🤣

Hibachi Steak and Shrimp with Hibachi Rice, Veggies and Clear Onion Soup 🤤

Indian Tacos 💛 (With a few adjustments)

Growing up I’d never seen nor heard of “Indian Tacos”. BUT having a husband who grew up in small town Oklahoma and having family still there, I quickly learned how amazing they were!

My mother in law originally showed me the recipe when I was pregnant with our first daughter. Not long after having our baby girl, we took her meet a very special native couple down in middle of nowhere OK. Within an hour of being in their home, Elaine showed me her secret way of making it too. Over the years I’ve married both of their ways together and created our own way of making them.
I’ve made my fair share of tweaks to the recipe, so it’s not necessarily the most authentic one, but it’s what my family enjoys 💛

Tomorrow morning we’ll be out and about at the Show-Me Crafters 8th Annual Summer Craft Show selling some fresh baked goodies!

While I won’t have a huge inventory this go round, I will have some cookies and homemade yeast loaves!

I’m pairing up with my MIL again so come and see us to get your fix on baked goodies, last minute Father’s Day gifts, or just treat yourself to a new keychain, cup charm, or wax warmer creams!

Back in April I was requested to make a very special little girls first birthday smash cake and cupcakes.

Mom and I discussed the size we wanted for her cake and found the perfect fit! A smaller, layered 6in cake with the best cake and icing flavor combos ever (her momma really knew what she was doing). Baby girl loved her cake and I’m pretty sure there weren’t any leftover cupcakes by the end of the evening 💛

My oh my, where has the time gone?!

I am so sorry about the delay is updates and post the past couple of months! Life has been hectic for this home baker and unfortunately cooking and baking just fell to the wayside… but we’re back!

I promise to get back to posting regularly, starting with some backdated post from the past couple of months as well as info on another vendor fair coming up THIS WEEKEND ❤️

Went a little different with tonight’s dinner:

-Butter Burger Sliders with Garlic & Parmesan Fries

These turned out so yummy! Only swap I’ll make next time around is using regular dinner rolls in place of the sweet hawiian. While the flavors were absolutely amazing, something about a savory burger filling with a sugary sweet bun makes my head feel like I’m doing something wrong 🤣
