Southern Rise operates on multiple fronts, combining passion with expertise. Our bakery produces an array of sweet delights, while our catering service handles events of varying magnitudes. What sets us apart is our commitment to using our own homegrown fruit, carefully cultivated to create our signature desserts, syrups, jams, and jellies. Our apiary plays a vital role in honey production. Summer is a busy time for us, as we work tirelessly in our garden to ensure a plentiful harvest that will see us through the winter months. Mushroom cultivation is a relatively new pursuit for us, but one that has proven both challenging and rewarding. We have had success with Red Wine Cap, Golden Oysters, Lions Mane, and Blue Oyster mushrooms and are currently working on cultivating Morel mushrooms. As part of our mission to share knowledge, we offer classes four times a year at the library and in-house sessions on cooking and canning techniques, in addition to mentoring budding beekeepers.
