No real theme menu this week- just a return to our usual 'eclectic' menu choices. We do have the first of the (Californian) apricots, though! We'll have locals in a few weeks (along with cherries and berries and and and...). Summer is a-coming.

I got this lovely Pic of this week's donuts just a *touch* latte for Saturday service, but that's ok- we still have plenty for Sunday morning (or if you're inclined to head out to vashon for a different menu, we'll be here until 3pm).

Last of the quince this week. Ah, well, it was good while it lasted. Onward to spring and summer flavors!

We have a little holiday in Ballard this weekend, and this week's menu is a little tongue-in-cheek hat tip to that. I did a little brainstorming around scandi cooking (hearkening back to my time helping set up a cafe at an aquavit distillery, of all places), and came up with... fermentation, some local foraging, dark rye flours, potatoes, rhubarb, lingonberries (of course), etc.

A big thanks to (who's back at it this week after tanking a brief rest last weekend) for a bit of their naturally-fermented sourdough starter for the cake donuts! You rock, man.

It's  ! Between that and Mother's Day and tomorrow, it's probably smart to put in a pre-order for your  , you know?

Bringing the love to all the mothers out there this weekend. Sadly, my own mom won't be in town until next weekend for the University District Street Fair, but nevertheless we're doing it. A little chocolate, some flowers, the ol' strawberry/rhubarb combo. All the best.

Also, a big shout-out to , who got me the hucks for this menu on short notice. Y'all are too good to me.

Another week, another new menu. Remember this menu is for kitchen takeout (Fri-Sun, 8am-12pm) only- truck menus may be different. Still transitioning to spring produce, so we're digging a few fun things out of the archives.

Also, we're done for a while (at least) in the truck at the University District Farmer's Market. A big thanks to the folks there for having us out sporadically in the 'off season'- it was nice to (re)connect with the community there. Now we're transitioning to being out at the off and on for the summer, starting this Saturday, May 2nd. Please check my calendar for further details.
