*UPDATE*

At this time we are still unsure of our path to reopening Besalu. It's been a long few years of adjustments (Covid), followed by a difficult few months of kitchen remodel complications.

Quite honestly, we're a little worn out...and feel it's best to regroup for a bit so that we can find a path forward that's sustainable and worthwhile for all. We wish we could give a more concrete plan, but unfortunately this is the best we can do for now.

We appreciate our loyal following and look forward to hopefully seeing you again sometime down the road, thank you!

Welcome to our first weekend back to in-person ordering! A reminder to please mask up & that indoor seating is closed at this time. Please read this post for the best & safest experience tomorrow.

Please pay close attention to the floor markers in our store. There are spots for TWO groups inside at a time. One ordering & one viewing the pastry case. The next group in line should wait outside on the red x on the sidewalk and wait to enter till the red floor marker by the case is available. Please form a line UP the hill in the opposite direction of Tall Grass (to give them plenty of space!) Please keep the doorway clear for customers who are exiting or entering to pick up preorders.

Please wait in front of the register until you receive your pastries. If you ordered coffee, staff will direct one member of your party to wait for the coffee on a designated blue floor dot (or outside if all spots are occupied). Additional members of your group should wait outside please.

If you pre-ordered online during the 3 PM through 6 AM window, you may skip the line and one member of your party may enter to find your order on the left side of the shop. If your order tag has a bright orange sticker or your order included drinks, please check in with us to the left of the case (or at the register if there is no line) to receive the rest of your order & have us start on your drinks.

You may have heard the exciting news that we are returning to in person ordering on Tuesday! Online pre-ordering will still be available in a limited window (3 PM-6 AM each day that we are open); check our website for more details. At this time, please continue to wear a mask and follow staff & written directives for social distancing. Indoor seating will not yet be available.

Starting next week, we will be closed on Mondays & open 7-2 on Tuesdays-Sundays. We've been considering this change for some time and hope that it will provide a better quality of life for our staff & allow us to keep up with production demands.

Thanks to all for your ongoing support through this past year! We appreciate your flexibility with learning our online system & following best practice to keep us & each other safe. We're excited to have our pastries back in the case and look forward to serving you in person this next week!

We are excited to be a part of your celebrations this weekend! A reminder that for continued safety, all orders must be placed ahead online. We expect to be quite busy this weekend, so please be mindful of keeping it to 4 folks in the store at a time. Finally, we strongly recommend calling ahead 10-20 minutes before your arrival if you have drinks to reduce your wait time at the bakery.

Mother's Day weekend update!

We are excited to be part of your celebrations! If you are planning on ordering pastries for Saturday or Sunday, please wait to place the order till 3 PM the afternoon before your desired pick up day (otherwise, we may need to refund or substitute some items). This is due to some limitations of our inventory program, so we appreciate your understanding.

We are expecting to sell out of many items on pre-sales, so we recommend ordering as close to 3 as possible if you have your heart set on something specific. As always, we will be reloading the inventory with pastries throughout the weekend as they come out of the oven.

Please note that Mother's Day special orders should be placed separately from pastry or beverage orders. If you are hoping to pre-order pastries for Mother's Day, please wait till 3 PM on Saturday May 8 to do so. If you place your pastry order earlier than that, we cannot guarantee the availability of the items you ordered & may need to refund or substitute some items. We recommend setting an alarm on your phone for 3 PM May 8 for best selection as we expect to sell out of many pastries during pre-sales.
