If anyone is looking for some quality items for their business you need to check this out! Joann is my friend and I have personally seen her items as I was going to buy the business. Changed my mind as with just closing the shop it was too much for my brain to handle currently and I'm still trying to take care of my health.

So, Friday, March 27, 2026 was a sad day as Bill mopped the floors for the last time and I left behind our keys and parking passes. We sold what we could, packed what we couldn't, and hung out on the block to say farewell to some amazing neighbors.😭😭😭

I am taking some time to unpack my stuff and my feelings, do some needed housework, and work on the logistics of my next venture. My brick and mortar may be closed but this has given me time to think about what's next for Pilgers' Pastries. 😊 I learned a lot on Adams Avenue, thanks to the community that supported us. We listened and are taking your ideas into great consideration. Thank you all for your continued support!

Something new coming to Southside Scranton!!! We are so excited that this is coming to our neighborhood and it is such a great thing for the community. We hope they receive a lot of support! 😍

Luzerne Auto Locksmith Presents: Lackawanna Community Gardens Initiative 🌱

Luzerne Auto Locksmith is proud to present and support the Lackawanna Community Gardens Initiative, a community-driven project focused on building gardens that provide free fresh fruits and vegetables to people in need in Scranton and throughout Lackawanna County.

With food prices rising across Northeast Pennsylvania, many families are struggling to afford healthy groceries. This initiative is designed to turn local land into thriving community gardens where fresh food can be grown and shared freely with neighbors who need it most.

The Lackawanna Community Gardens Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the community through sustainable gardening, education, and volunteer support. Donations are accepted to help build garden beds, purchase seeds, maintain tools, and keep the garden running for the community.

What Makes Our Garden Special

🌱 100% organic fruits and vegetables
🌱 No pesticides used – natural and safe growing methods
🌱 Free food for families and neighbors in need
🌱 Volunteer opportunities for community members
🌱 Educational gardening for kids and seniors

This project will bring people together to help build:

Raised planter beds

Community vegetable gardens

Benches and gathering spaces

Educational garden areas for learning how to grow food naturally

This garden will not only grow foodβ€”it will grow community, kindness, and opportunity.

Luzerne Auto Locksmith believes in giving back to the communities that have supported the business throughout Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Luzerne County, and Lackawanna County. Supporting this garden initiative is a way to invest in a healthier and stronger Northeast Pennsylvania community.

🌿 Volunteers are welcome
🌿 Donations help keep the garden growing
🌿 Together we can provide fresh food for people in need

Be part of something positive in 2026 with the Lackawanna Community Gardens Initiative. 🌱 570-817-0040

My first cake and my two favorite cakes...it is with a completely broken heart that I am announcing that we are permanently closing our doors effective immediately. With the rising cost of everything, utilities, packaging, rent, insurance, and the awful weather keeping everyone in for the past two months, I am sad to say we just couldn't maintain it all and my health is starting to struggle with the stress.

I tried very hard and was advised to reach out for help. After giving that a hard thought, I realize that everyone is in the same situation right now and it is scary. How could I ask for help when I see so many around me just fighting to find a meal? I'm happy that our Neighbors Helping Neighbors program was helpful to many, but sad that I will not be able to help anymore. I hope someone else can start something like it.

I want to thank you all for your support of my small business for the past 3 plus years. It has meant the world to myself and my family. You all have meant a great deal to us with your smiles, the laughter, and even the tears we shared. You were all more than just a cake or cookie order or a meatloaf dinner lol. We think about people when we don't see them and are filled with joy when they come back. We know your names and regular orders. That is something you don't find in a big box store.

I also want to thank Bill and Brandon, my right and left arms, for sticking by me through it all. Without them I would have been lost. I can't forget MaryBeth (MB) who has been my rock, shoulder to cry on, grand advisor, the best listener, event model, and word of mouth marketer a girl could ask for. Without her I would have fallen to pieces.

So what's next? Packing up, selling my stuff, taking a well deserved physical and mental break, spring cleaning my house, then we'll see.

Thank you all...you will be missed. 😭

We will be closed today, Tuesday 2/24/26. Sorry for any inconvenience. Open for order pickup only.
