The members only Satuit Boat Club is located at 66 Jericho Road, Scituate, MA on beautiful Scituate Harbor. The Club is a non-profit organization, operated for the purpose of furthering knowledge and skill in handling power and sailboats while cruising, day sailing or racing; to emphasize rights and privileges under maritime law and to teach safety precautions needed to prevent accidents on or in

the water; to render assistance to others in trouble on the water whenever possible. At the heart of the Club is the highly successful Junior Sailing Program, which is open to members and non-members as well as the adult regattas. A great starting to the boating season with SBC’s Annual Opening Day Event! Great food, great mimosa and Bloody Mary bar (thanks to Phyllis!), and best of all great friends getting together for fun. Thanks to Jay and the Entertainment Committee for putting this together, all who helped with the basket raffle, and everyone who brought dishes or helped otherwise to make this a wonderful event. Happy summer season.

Spearheaded by Bill Fairbanks, the club flagpole was beautifully revitalized. So many people contributed their time and effort to this project, and it is truly appreciated. Here is the flag-raising crew in action.

Cheers to a hugely successful SBC breakfast, and a big thank you to all the kitchen crew who made it happen. A special highlight was Brigitta’s delicious Swedish pancakes!

SBC members,
Just a reminder, the annual SBC Oysters and Dinner Night will be held on Saturday, March 21st, at 6 pm. The evening will include at least a dozen oysters per person (often more) and a delicious Italian dinner catered by Euromart. Please remember that this is a BYOB event.

To ensure accurate ordering, please RSVP to Jay by March 16. and include a check for $25 per person (or $20 if you prefer not to have oysters). Checks should be made payable to Satuit Boat Club (not to Jay) and mailed to Jay Swartz

Nothing beats good friends, homemade chili and chowder, and a cozy night before the snow rolls in. So grateful to everyone who contributed — truly the perfect “chili” (see what I did there) saturday night at the club.
