This all started out as a hobby, baking cakes for my children's birthdays. I ended up LOVING it!!! So, with a little push from my family and friends, I've decided to open Kreative Kakes and share my talents with others in the area. There really is no greater
satisfaction for me than helping others put a smile on their face on their special day! All cake orders now require at least 3-4 weeks notice. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to book; comes off your total order price. Once your order is booked it can not be drastically changed. I will no longer hold dates without knowing cake size, flavor and design choice. Although I LOVE baking and decorating cakes for everyone, this is NOT my full-time job. My husband and I own and operate a welding, heavy equipment repair business that also employes 5 other people besides ourselves; which is more than a full-time job. We have 2 school aged children at home that are also involved with after school activities. My days/nights/weekends are always hectic and my schedule forever changes. That being said, it typically takes me days to respond to messages and I’m sorry but phone calls are super hard for me to find time to return. My down time is usually after 9pm and too late to call anyone back. Email or Facebook messages are the best way to get a hold of me. Typically, I return most messages on the weekends when I have a little more free time. My “cake schedule” also tends to fill pretty quickly as I only take on so many orders per week and I always have a least a few smaller case cakes available at Sughr & Company each week. I also don’t want to burn myself out taking on too much. I am definitely one of those people who follows thru with commitments, procrastinates but also works well under pressure. Although I do believe I should be paid for my cost and time, I’m not here to make this “my living”. Creating beautiful works of art that are delicious is just what I LOVE to do!
