I wish to Thank everyone for supporting the Plain and Fancy Donut Shop Business located in Schuylkill Haven as well as our locations at the Farmers Markets. After much deliberation Our last day for business will be July 31 st 2022. After approximately 60 years have decided to permanently close the bakery and take a much needed retirement. Thank you to all past and present that have helped Jim and I over the years through both the good and sometimes difficult times. Sorry for the short notice….it was a difficult decision but a necessary one. I am recommending Dutch Maid Bakery located on Kutztown Road in Temple and also located in the Fairgrounds Square Market in Reading. They have more variety and are made with the same quality ingredients. Again I wish to Thank you all…

Just want to update our Schuylkill Haven Store Hours located at 120 Saint Charles Street Location. Due to the economy and employee issues we are only open Fridays 6 am to 1 pm , Saturdays 7 am to 2 pm and Sundays 7 am to 1 pm. We are still at Hometown and Leesport Farmers Markets on Wednesday also Friday and Saturday at Kutztown Renningers Farmers Market. Thank you to everyone for your patronage and support.

Thank you everyone for your support and patience. I am Happy to inform everyone Donuts are now available again. The store located on St. Charles Street will be open starting Friday Feb. 25 th. Fastnachts will also be available for a limited time. Unfortunately due to circumstances we are unable to take any pre- orders at this time. Our Farmers Market locations are Hometown, Leesport, and Only the Kutztown Renningers. We are NOT located at Orwigsburg Renningers. A Big " THANK YOU " to Becker Kitchen Solutions and Koppy's Propane for all their help to get my business up and running again. I Highly recommend both these Company's. The Removal of the old Donut fryer, installation and set up of the new one by Beckers and Koppy's installation of propane equipment Totally awesome!

To everyone… we are sorry for the confusion and inconvenience but we are NOT CLOSING the business. The Fryer used to fry the donuts is not working and unfortunately cannot be repaired and are awaiting the arrival of a new replacement. Due to the COVID virus the earliest shipment date is November 9 th. We will not be selling Donuts at this time but will be making and selling Sticky Buns, Bear Claws, and Dutch Cakes. Our stands will be open at Hometown Farmers Market and Leesport Farmers Market on Wednesdays , 8 am until 8 pm or unless we sell out early, Renningers Kutztown Market on Saturdays 8 am till 4 pm, and our Store located at 120 Saint Charles Street in Schuylkill Haven will also now be open from 7 am till 1 pm but will only be open on Saturdays until we can start making donuts again. I am hoping to be able to start making donuts again by the end of November or the beginning of December at the very latest. I wish to Thank everyone for your patronage and patience and hope to be up and running again as soon as possible.
